Within The Desert Of Our Own Heart

Have you ever take some time to analyze why do people say the experiences we live set us ready for the future? I once asked a group of people what games they played when they were kids. A physiotherapist said writhing lizards, a furniture designer said disarming everything to see how it was like inside, a musician said dancing all day. Of course when choosing their careers they did not think of their childhood games but they chose the kind of job at which working would be fun. Yes, I said fun. A job we don’t like is a job we will not do for long.

Just as our childhood games allowed us to gain skills in what would be our livelihood in our future. Every experience we live bring a new wealth to our empirical knowledge. What we experience, even if dramatic will give us the skills to solve any trouble we get into in the future. Hence, the harvest our life is, the wisest our behavior becomes.

I had said before there are two different maturity levels each one opposite to the other. One belongs to the ones who let life victimize them, not defend neither dream. Just let the days of their probation finish watching life pass before their eyes without deciding to make their own mark on the sands of time. The other belongs to the braves, life strikes and throws them at the bottom of the pit every while but they get up again and again and every time they do remain standing longer time than before.

The difference between these two levels of maturity lies in how we deal with the knowledge we get through our life experiences. The first group just ignores it. They store it as information but do not use it. The other group turns that knowledge into their new way of living. They add it to their mechanism of action and reaction and use it whenever the situation warrants.

There is a basic component in the conduct of members of the second group. They always grant themselves time to assimilate the experience and deduce why did it happened and what had they learned from it. This way they recover the peace their soul loses by the disturbance of the event. Their mind and body regain the balance that must exist between them.

This is what we usually call to relieve stress and there are many ways to do it. Many famous scientists and mathematicians practiced gardening because it is a stressful job which forces mind to calm and gives them time to see from the outside the problem they are trying to solve but had not found the appropriate method. Some people become better cooks than culinary professionals because it is a relaxing and distractive work to them. I like to run alone in the streets, yet half-hour on a jogging machine would make me sweat more than two hours running on the streets, jogging distracts me and that very moment when blood rushes into my head making me blush and stifles my breath, when preserving the rhythm of breathing is the only thing that matters because it will keep my heart rhythm down no matter how far I go, puts my soul in tune with my body.

Sometimes making money to keep our life standard becomes so important that we forget to give ourselves the time we need to free our souls from the weight our problems put in our minds. We go through long periods without even taking a weekend for ourselves and worse when you finally take a break we do not relax because we owe time to our family too and it's time to pay. Therefore we get to a point where tolerating us becomes difficult for those around us.

As the humans we are we need time with ourselves, lone private time. Time to be the way we like to be. Those who grant themselves that time are the ones who reach the top and enjoy it; everyone else is somewhat unfortunate even if he reaches the peak of his career. In this busy world we live in man has put aside the maximum rule of mankind. “To love him himself” Even more he has forgot the best way to keep peace between mind and soul is spending every day some time wandering within the desert of his own heart. 

If you, like many others, boarded the wrong bus get off now. Yes, get off! Since this very moment take some time to enjoy your own company. Look at yourself in the inside’s mirror and if you do not like what you see do something about it. Take care of yourself as the treasure you are. If you have no reason to smile make up one, happiness is contagious and even cures deadly diseases.

Although it may seem selfish make your priority in life to love yourself. Happiness begins and ends within our own being. It does not depend in how big our incomes are nor in what others think of us but in how do we feel about the human being we are. Only when we achieve happiness we can fully love others so do not forget the priority is you.

 

 En El Desierto De Mi Alma

¿Alguna vez te has detenido a analizar porque dicen que lo que vivimos nos prepara para el futuro? En una ocasión pregunte a un grupo de personas que hacían para distraerse en la infancia. Un fisioterapeuta dijo que retorcía lagartijas, un tapicero que desarmaba todo lo que caía en sus manos para ver cómo era por dentro, un músico que bailaba todo el día. Claro que al momento de elegir su carrera no pensaron en sus juegos de infancia pero eligieron aquello en lo que podían divertirse trabajando; si he dicho divertirse. Un trabajo que no nos agrada es un trabajo que no desempeñaremos mucho tiempo. 

Así como en la infancia realizamos juegos que nos permiten ganar destreza para lo que en el futuro será nuestro medio de vida. Toda experiencia que vivimos aporta una nueva herramienta al bagaje de nuestro conocimiento empírico. Las experiencias vividas, por dramáticas que sean serán el arma con que nos defenderemos en el futuro. De ahí que entre más ardua es la vida más sabio resulta nuestro comportamiento.

Como he dicho en otras ocasiones existen dos niveles de madurez distintos y opuestos entre sí. Uno es el del que se deja avasallar por la vida, no se defiende pero tampoco sueña. Solo deja que los días de su probación se acaben viendo la vida pasar frente a él sin decidirse a dejar su propia huella en las arenas del tiempo. El otro es el de los valientes, la vida los golpea y arroja en el fondo del abismo cada cierto tiempo pero ellos se levantan una y otra vez y, cada vez que lo hacen permanecen de pie un tiempo más largo que la vez anterior.

La diferencia entre estos dos niveles de madurez reside en el tratamiento que damos a la información que recibimos a través de nuestras experiencias de vida. El primer grupo solo la ignora, almacena el conocimiento pero no lo utiliza. El otro grupo convierte el conocimiento en su nueva forma de vida, lo incorpora a su mecanismo de acción y reacción y, lo utiliza cada vez que la situación lo amerita.

Hay un componente básico en la conducta de los miembros del segundo grupo. Ellos siempre se conceden a sí mismos el tiempo necesario para asimilar la experiencia y deducir porque paso y para que les sirve. Cuando esto hacen su alma recupera la paz perdida por el desasosiego del evento. Su mente y su cuerpo recobran el equilibrio que debe haber entre ellos.

Esto es lo que comúnmente llamamos liberar el stress y existen muchas maneras de lograrlo. Muchos científicos y matemáticos famosos practicaron la jardinería porque es un trabajo agotador que obliga la mente a serenarse y concede a la vez el tiempo para ver desde afuera ese problema que intenta resolver y no encuentra el método apropiado. Hay quienes se vuelven mejores cocineros que los profesionales del arte culinario porque esta labor los relaja y distrae. A mí me gusta correr sola en las calles, claro que media hora en un aparato cíclico me haría sudar más que dos horas al trote en la calle pero correr me distrae y ese momento en que la sangre se agolpa en mi cabeza haciéndome enrojecer y sofoca mi respiración, cuando conservar el ritmo de la respiración es lo único que cuenta porque mantendrá sedado mi corazón no importa que tan lejos vaya, pone mi alma a tono con mi cuerpo.

A veces producir dinero con que solventar nuestra economía se vuelve tan importante que olvidamos concedernos el tiempo que como seres humanos necesitamos para liberarnos del peso que nuestros problemas imponen en nuestras almas. Pasamos por largos periodos sin tomarnos ni siquiera un fin de semana para nosotros mismos y peor aun cuando finalmente tomamos un descanso no disfrutamos de el porque le debemos tiempo también a nuestra familia y es el momento de pagarlo. Algunas veces llegamos incluso a un punto en que tolerarnos se vuelve difícil para quienes nos rodean.

Todos los seres humanos necesitamos de tiempo para nosotros mismos, tiempo privado y solitario. Tiempo para ser como queremos ser. Son los que se conceden ese tiempo los que alcanzan la cima y disfrutan de ello, el resto de la humanidad es desdichado en alguna medida incluso si alcanza la cúspide de su carrera. En este ajetreado mundo en que vivimos, el hombre ha puesto a un lado la máxima regla de la humanidad. “Amarse a sí mismo” y sobre todo ha olvidado que la mejor manera de mantener el alma en paz es pasar un tiempo cada día vagando en el desierto de su propio corazón.

Si Ud., como tantos otros, abordo el autobús equivocado bájese ahora mismo. ¡Si, bájese! Tómese desde ya un tiempo diario para disfrutar de su propia compañía. Mírese en el espejo y si no le agrada lo que ve haga algo al respecto. Cuide de Ud. mismo como el tesoro que Ud. es. Si no tiene motivos para sonreír invente alguno, la felicidad es contagiosa y cura incluso enfermedades mortales.

Aunque parezca egoísta convierta en su prioridad en la vida el amarse Ud. mismo. La felicidad empieza y termina dentro de nuestro propio ser. No depende de cuánto ganamos ni de lo que otros piensan de nosotros sino de cómo nos sentimos con el ser humano que somos. Solo cuando somos realmente felices podemos conceder amor plenamente a los demás así que no lo olvide, la prioridad es Ud.

 

Knowing Bible Is Not Same As Knowing Doctrine

I was wandering in internet and by chance I came across a page of questions and answers about syncretism between African Yoruba religion and Christianism. Subscribers were Africans’ descendants who wondered if it's okay to practice Christianism pair with Santeria.  Put my attention on a question of a young man who used as name the word "confused" mainly because who answered seemed more confused than him.

Man who answered assured he carries Bible everywhere he goes because its words are magical and God Himself told him to always keep it underarm. Friends, not everyone who carries a bible with him knows doctrine and some people can recite every book without reading it and still not know doctrine. They know the words but do not understand and we must set this clear so we don’t end being confused by getting advice from people like that. I wanted to give him a correct answer but page did not allow questions or answers and there was no subscriptions’ access so I wrote it here in case this man has the luck to find my answer.

Santeria arose during slavery days due to prohibition of practicing their own beliefs and forcing of slaves to practice Christianism. Christian practice in Spanish colonies was Catholicism which as we know allows worshiping images and lighting candles. In addition grant the quality of interceptor before God to those who have earned designation of saints. Slaves used Catholic imagery to worship their gods giving each image the name of god worshipped through that image masking in this manner their own faith in a false conversion to Christianism and later joined their practices to spiritism practiced by American’s colonies natives and after that joined the rest of pagan cults too. Thus Santeria is the practice of magic, witchcraft, cursing and sorcery that had all been proscribed by God.

Young man assured he was being harassed for evil spirits and when he ordered them to retire in the name of God he heard spirits call him hypocritical and wanted to know if his double practice was cause of harassment. First thing I want to make clear is there is no man so important that demons would throw on him without being invoked by anyone. Unless he is a prophet who speaks with God and thus can be intercepted by a demon wanting to cheat, whenever a person is being attacked there is someone who invoked that attack. There must be an enemy causing damage.

Secondly I must say it is an act of hypocrisy worshiping God and devil. You cannot worship God of goodness and evil also because you will love one and despise the other. This practice is similar to adultery that causes deep hurt in soul of betrayed one because adulterer literally falls in love with the person he sets extramarital relationship with and despises partner who was his support and his company causing pain and making vain good his partner has done.

Spirits can read our facts in our minds, know our emotions and know how we feel about everything we do. They Pollute our environment looking into minds of everyone we know for everything they can use to harm us. All that shames us, all that terrifies us, ways to make us feel attracted to evil, ways to lead us to lust and use all that to destroy us. They called him a hypocrite because he feels guilty. A person who watches horror movies and gets scared with them sees terrifying creatures wanting to harm them whenever they are harassed. Everything bad spirit finds in our memory will be weapon used to hurt us.

Anyone who worships evil pollutes his own environment and encompasses evil in his home and his life, this makes him vulnerable to devil’s attacks but who assures him that Bible is magical and will set him free of harassment is as confused as him or maybe more. He has made bible become his amulet. To be free is not changing but discard all fetish and not to have any.

Finally I want to make clear there are no people with such sensitivity that can sense spirits. You will only notice their presence if spirits want you to Know they are there. Just as this earth is abode of man is also abode of Satan and his angels. It was here where they came to when they were separated from God's presence. They are the primitive gods santeers adore. Came to tempt man, that's their role in God's plan, but there is a veil that separates us from them. That veil is so dense that you will be in danger only if not living with dignity or if your enemies invoke evil to damage you. That veil is also full of God’s angels. All the army of heaven is there to protect man, if you live worthily should not fear snares of evil. Angels will take care of you and comfort at all times. Discard all evil now and cling to obey God's will with faith that He is all power and glory, honor and majesty.

Request to be blessed by a priest, do not think you can fight alone against spirits, even a priest needs to be blessed by another for liberation from him, make sure is a worthy priest. Not every priest can deliver you. Priests who perform this kind of blessing must do so in prayer and fasting and once granted blessing must retire to a secluded place and bless each other before returning to their homes. A priest must never go alone to perform this kind of job, must be at least three and often counting with the number of family members as many as are required to complete eight people in the prayer circle. Priest blesses house and also blesses each family member as they remain on their knees in a circle and are coming one by one into circle to be blessed.

No Todo El Que Sabe La Biblia Sabe Doctrina

Estuve vagabundeando en la red y me tope por casualidad con una página de preguntas y respuestas en las que se trataba el sincretismo entre la religión africana yoruba y el cristianismo. Sus suscriptores eran descendientes de africanos que se preguntaban si está bien practicar el cristianismo a la par de la santería. Me llamo mucho la atención la pregunta de un joven que uso como nombre la palabra “confundido” sobre todo porque quien le respondió parecía más confundido que el.

Este hombre aseguro que lleva la biblia consigo a todas partes porque sus palabras son mágicas y que Dios mismo le dijo que la lleve siempre debajo del brazo. Amigos, no todo el que lleva la biblia consigo sabe doctrina y algunas personas pueden recitar cada libro sin leerlo y aun así no saben doctrina. Conocen las palabras pero no las entienden y es necesario tener claro esto para que no terminemos confundidos por consejos de personas como esta. Quise darle una respuesta acertada pero la página no admitía preguntas ni respuestas y tampoco había acceso de suscriptor así que lo escribo aquí por si tuviéramos la suerte de que el chico encuentre la respuesta.

La santería surgió durante la época de la esclavitud producto de que a los esclavos no se les permitía practicar sus creencias y se les obligaba la práctica cristiana. La practica cristiana por excelencia en las colonias españolas era el catolicismo que como bien sabemos permite la adoración de imágenes y el encendido de velas además de conceder la cualidad de interceptor ante Dios a los que han obtenido la denominación de santos. Los esclavos usaron las imágenes católicas para adorar a sus dioses concediendo a cada una el nombre del dios que a través de esa imagen adoran enmascarando de esa manera su propia fe bajo una falsa conversión al cristianismo y más tarde aunaron a sus prácticas el espiritismo que practicaban los aborígenes de las Américas y posteriormente el resto de los ritos paganos. Es entonces la santería la práctica de la magia, hechicería maledicencia y sortilegio que han sido todas proscritas por Dios.

El joven aseguro que estaba sufriendo acoso de espíritus malignos y que cuando les exigía retirarse en nombre de Dios oía espíritus llamándole hipócrita y quería saber si era su doble práctica lo que causaba el acoso. Lo primero que deseo dejar claro es que no existe hombre tan importante como para que el infierno se arroje sobre el sin que nadie lo invoque. A no ser que sea un profeta que dado que habla con Dios puede ser interceptado por algún demonio queriendo engañarle, siempre que una persona está siendo atacada existe alguien que invoco ese ataque. Un enemigo causando el daño.

En segundo lugar debo decir que es un acto de hipocresía adorar a Dios y al demonio. No se puede adorar al Dios del bien y también al del mal porque amara a  uno y despreciara al otro. Es una práctica similar al adulterio que causa un daño profundo en el alma de la persona traicionada porque el adultero literalmente se enamora de la persona con quien establece la relación extramarital y menosprecia a su pareja y causa dolor en quien fue su apoyo y su compañía y convierte en vano el bien que su pareja le ha hecho.

Los espíritus pueden leer en nuestras mentes nuestros hechos, conocen nuestras emociones y saben cómo nos sentimos con respecto a cada cosa que hacemos. Contaminan nuestro entorno buscando en las mentes de todos los que conocemos todo aquello que puedan usar para hacernos mal. Todo lo que nos avergüenza, todo lo que nos aterra, todo lo que nos atrae hacia el mal, todo lo que nos lleva a la lujuria y usan todo eso para acabar con nosotros; le llamo hipócrita porque él se siente culpable. Las personas que ven películas de terror y se espantan con ellas siempre que son acosadas ven seres terroríficos queriendo causarles daño. Todo lo malo que el espíritu encuentre en nuestra memoria será el arma con que nos dañara.

Todo el que realiza prácticas de adoración del mal contamina su propio entorno dando cabida al maligno en su hogar y en su vida, esto le hace vulnerable ante los ataques del mal pero quien le asegura que la biblia es mágica y le librara del mal esta tan confundido como él o quizás más. Ha convertido la biblia en su amuleto. Ser libre no es cambiar de fetiche sino desecharlos todos y no volver a tener ninguno.

Por último quiero dejar claro que no existen las personas con tal sensibilidad que pueden percibir espíritus. Ud. Solo notara su presencia si el espíritu desea que Ud. Sepa que está allí. Así como esta tierra es la morada del hombre es también la morada de Satanás y sus ángeles. Fue aquí a donde ellos vinieron al ser apartados de la presencia de Dios. Ellos son los dioses primigenios que adoran los santeros. Vinieron a tentar al hombre, ese es su papel en el plan de Dios pero hay un velo que nos separa de ellos. Ese velo es tan denso que Ud. Solo estará en peligro si no vive dignamente o si sus enemigos invocan el mal para acabar con Ud. Ese velo esta además repleto de los ángeles de Dios. Todo el ejercito del cielo está allí para proteger al hombre, si Ud. vive dignamente no debe temer a las acechanzas del maligno. Los ángeles cuidaran de Ud. y lo confortaran en todo momento. Deseche ya todo lo malo y aférrese a Dios con voluntad de obedecerlo y con fe en que El es todo poder y gloria y honra y majestad.

Solicite ser bendecido por un sacerdote; no piense que Ud. solo podrá contra el espíritu, incluso un sacerdote necesita que otro le bendiga para liberarse del mal, asegúrese de que sea un sacerdote digno, no todo sacerdote le puede librar. Los sacerdotes que realizan esta clase de bendición deben hacerlo en oración y ayuno y una vez concedida la bendición deben retirarse a un lugar apartado y bendecirse unos a otros antes de volver a sus casas. Nunca un sacerdote debe ir solo a realizar esta clase de oficio, deben ir como mínimo tres y a menudo contando con la cantidad de miembros de la familia los que sean necesarios para completar ocho personas en el círculo de oración. El sacerdote bendice la casa y también a cada uno de los miembros de la familia que permanecen de rodillas formando un círculo y van entrando una a una en el círculo para ser bendecidas.

About Priesthood And Virtue

When talking about priesthood we say its power rests on three bases that could be compared to a summation; Virtue + Faith + Knowledge = Power. At first it seems easy to acquire.

Faith is nothing but blind belief; in other words hope of things which cannot be seen or touched, and therefore whose existence cannot be proven. Priest needs to know deep in his soul God exists, and that He is all power and glory and honor and majesty.

Knowledge is in the books, but this kind of knowledge is beyond the acquired by study. Once he learns how the power he will exercise works, upon what it works and how the power of evil works priest must believe deep inside his soul he holds the power. He should know without any doubt in his heart he can relocate mountains, bring the dead back to life, heal the sick, invoke angels, stop the rain ... and that all this will happen by his word. Did you ever think of standing in the middle of a hurricane and tell it to STOP, or telling a dead get up and walk? The Lord did but He is the Lord. That's when the priest doubts; “Do I have that power?” The only doubt is enough to stop having it. He should know he has it or the forces of nature will not obey him.

The first component of the sum is even more complicated. Virtue is a beautiful word, we have used it to qualify pianists and painters and in what to religion refers we had often limit it to sexual purity but virtue is actually a very complicated concept, To be virtuous it’s required to possess many attributes which are acquired only through a life with God as the only center and MLA.

First we have to posses what we have commonly called theological virtues, Faith, Hope and Charity. We also need to have the cardinal virtues, Prudence, Justice, Temperance and Fortitude. Since virtue is a force that impels to do good and not evil all days of life and it is described as Integrity of the heart and Goodness of the Spirit who has it must have a heart slow to anger and always ready to serve others. Must be gentle which is the ability to let God be the guide and must be chaste as who harbors unclean feelings cannot get the gift of the Holy Spirit which is the instrument of priesthood’s power.

With only having a gossip or sit and listen to gossip virtue is completely lost. When body and mind are not in tune with the Holy Spirit the power leaves us. A priest without power is useless. Sometimes we hear from the one who lacks power intricate justifications to put the blame of the ineffectiveness of the blessing on the ones who received it. "I'm just a vehicle, brother, you must exercise your faith" is the most common and fallacious excuse. In the New Testament the Lord taught his apostles they are the ones who have to hold power. If it was necessary to live according to the principles of the church of God to be creditor to God's power the cures and conversions mentioned in the New Testament would have never happened.

Instead of blaming others, we need to sort our own lives and once made it we must live each day in communion with God and praying like St. Francis of Assisi to be allowed to be the instrument of God.

 De La Virtud Y El Sacerdocio

Señor haz de mi un instrumento de paz:
Que allí donde halla odio, ponga yo amor;
Que allí donde halla ofensa, ponga yo perdón;
Que allí donde halla discordia, ponga yo armonía;
Que allí donde halla error, ponga yo verdad;
Que allí donde halla duda, ponga yo fe;
Que allí donde halla desesperación, ponga yo esperanza;
Que allí donde halla tinieblas ponga yo luz;
Que allí donde halla tristeza, ponga yo alegría.

Cuando hablamos de sacerdocio decimos que su poder se sustenta sobre tres bases que podrían compararse con una sumatoria; Virtud + Conocimiento + Fe = Poder. A primera vista parece fácil adquirirlo.

Fe no es más que la creencia ciega o en otras palabras la esperanza en cosas que no se pueden ver ni tocar y por tanto su existencia no se puede probar. Es necesario saber en lo profundo del ser que Dios Existe, que El es todo Poder y Gloria y Honra y Majestad.

El conocimiento se adquiere en los libros, pero este conocimiento va más allá del adquirido por el estudio. Una vez aprendido cómo funciona el poder que ejercerá y sobre que actúa y,  cómo funciona el poder del mal el sacerdote debe estar convencido en su corazón de que el ostenta el poder. Debe saber sin lugar a dudas en su corazón que él puede trasladar los montes, resucitar a los muertos, curar a los enfermos, invocar a los ángeles, detener la lluvia,... y que todo esto ocurrirá por su palabra. ¿Se te ha ocurrido alguna vez pararte en medio de un huracán y decirle DETENTE, o decirle a un muerto LEVANTATE Y ANDA? EL Señor lo hacía pero El es el Señor. Es ahí cuando el sacerdote vacila; ¿Tengo yo ese poder? La sola duda es suficiente para dejar de tenerlo. Ud. debe saber que lo tiene o las fuerzas de la naturaleza no le obedecerán.

El primer componente de la sumatoria es aun más complicado. Virtud es una hermosa palabra, la hemos usado para calificar a los pianistas y pintores y en cuanto a religión se refiere a menudo la hemos limitado a la pureza sexual pero la virtud es en realidad un concepto muy complicado, poseerla requiere poseer muchos atributos que solo se adquieren mediante una vida con Dios como único centro y eje de acción.

Es necesario en primer lugar poseer todo eso que hemos llamado comúnmente virtudes teologales; Fe, Esperanza y Caridad. Además es necesario poseer las virtudes cardinales; Prudencia, Justicia, Fortaleza y Templanza. Dado que la virtud es una fuerza que impele a hacer bien y no mal todos los días de la vida y que se le describe como Integridad de Ánimo y Bondad de Espíritu el que la posee debe tener un corazón tardo para la ira y estar siempre presto a servir a los demás. Debe ser manso lo cual es la capacidad para dejarse guiar por Dios y debe ser casto ya que quien alberga sentimientos impuros no puede tener consigo el don del Espíritu Santo que es el instrumento del poder del sacerdocio.

Con tan solo contar un chisme o sentarse a escuchar al chismoso la virtud se pierde por completo y si el cuerpo y el espíritu no están a tono con el Espíritu Santo el poder se retira. Un sacerdote sin poder de nada sirve. Oímos a veces del que carece del poder justificaciones enrevesadas en las que culpamos a quienes bendecimos de la ineficacia de la bendición. “Yo solo soy un vehículo hermano, Ud. tiene que ejercer su fe” es la excusa más común y la mas falaz. En el nuevo testamento el Señor enseña a sus apóstoles que son ellos los que tienen que ostentar el poder. Si para hacerse acreedor del poder de Dios fuera necesario vivir de acuerdo con los principios de la iglesia de Dios las curaciones y conversiones mencionadas en el nuevo testamento no habrían ocurrido jamás.

En lugar de culpar a otros, es necesario poner en orden nuestra propia vida y logrado esto hay que vivir cada día en comunión con Dios y rogando como San Francisco de Asís para que se nos permita ser el instrumento de Dios.

 

Have You Ever Felt Lonely

If you ask me what loneliness is I’ll have to go exploring to get to it. There are people who feel lonely when being surrounded by happy people who sing and dance. There are those who feel lonely when no one else is home and those who are alone when the one they love goes away for good or in a trip. There is an even greater solitude; that of the one who has achieved success and has everything in life; money, fame, success and even the seemingly perfect couple but loneliness at the top is so deep that he looks down to those who walk together dodging bad weather and bad circumstances and feels envy deep inside his soul.

Perhaps we should say then loneliness is synonymous to vulnerability and is more often caused by the way we deal with envy and circumstances than by having no company. It's a really depressing spectacle to behold from the top the souls of those around us, some want our favors, others the kind of status our company brings them, others think if they act servile sooner or later adulation will prove its profitability,  they will be able then to sneak through us traces of power over other men.

Some people succumb to flattery and end becoming puppets of those around them and some find the truth behind others’ intentions and become so distrustful that depose from their souls those who truly love them. That's when loneliness comes in to fill spaces of our souls formerly occupied by those who gave us their love in return for the love we gave.

Loneliness doesn’t have social class, spheres of power, education levels or races. Loneliness of the rich boy whose parents do not grant giddiness time is no different from the loneliness of the hopeful boy without income to make his dreams come truth. Neither is distinct loneliness of the educated man whom everyone envy and cannot share his joys with anyone from the loneliness of a beggar wandering in the streets looking for a crust of bread. Loneliness is white when we occupy the void in our souls reading a good book to take us on a trip to unknown worlds and it is black when the pinnacle looks like a good crest to jump into the abyss to end our misery.

There are no recipes to cure loneliness but some attitudes can mitigate it. If you want a key I would have to say you must seek every day in the mirror of your own soul. If you never forget who you really are flattery will not vitiate your true essence. When you are certain of who you are what others say, weather it is truth or not, cannot twist your soul. Smile always for smile is the key that opens the doors to every present soul. Whether you're the winner or the needy everyone give more attention to those who are friendly. Listen to the arguments of others from outside without taking it as personal grievances. Allow yourself the right to be perfectible. Being just a human is not a mortal sin, admit your faults humbly and learn from your mistakes the lesson they bring you.

Never make fun of those who love you and those who seem to act slavishly or you will lose both love and company. Nor wrest your principles to please others to keep their company, others will come to value your essence and respect your ideas.

Above everything in this world be completely human, humanity is the best quality of man. Feel with the suffering, value the anger of protesters and if you can do something about it. Vibrate with the loving ones, don’t just stand there watching the spectacle of life pass before your eyes.

Opposite of loneliness is bliss and this is not found elsewhere that within our own soul, there is where you should cultivate it. It should not depend on company or circumstances but on who you are and how you feel about it. If you want to be respected by others respect yourself first, if you want to be loved love yourself, if you want to be valued allow yourself the place you deserve. These are the three foundations of happiness and it begins and ends within ourselves. Do not expect from others what you yourself do not grant you.

 

Soledad

Si me preguntas que es la soledad tendré que ir explorando para llegar a ella. Hay personas que se sienten solas cuando están rodeadas de personas felices que cantan y bailan. Hay personas que se sienten solas cuando no hay nadie en casa y aquellas que están solas cuando el objeto de su amor los abandona o se va de viaje. Hay una soledad aun mayor; la del que ha alcanzado el éxito y todo lo tiene en la vida; dinero, fama, éxito e incluso la pareja aparentemente perfecta pero la soledad en la cúspide es tan grande que mira hacia abajo y envidia a los pasantes, esos que caminan juntos sorteando el mal tiempo y las malas circunstancias.

Tal vez debiéramos decir entonces que soledad y desamparo son sinónimos y que la causa más veces la manera en que sorteamos la envidia y las circunstancias que la ausencia de compañía. Es un espectáculo realmente deprimente el contemplar desde la cúspide las almas de aquellos que nos rodean; unos quieren nuestros favores, otros el status que nuestra compañía les brinda, otros piensan que si  actúan con adulación tarde o temprano el conocernos resultara redituable para ellos, que podrán escamotear a través de nosotros trazas de poder sobre los demás mortales.

Hay quien sucumbe ante la adulación y termina convertido en títere de los que lo rodean y también quien se percata de las malas intenciones de los demás y se torna tan desconfiado que aleja de si a los que en verdad lo aman. Es entonces cuando surge la soledad para llenar los espacios de nuestras almas que antes ocupaban aquellos que nos daban su amor a cambio del cariño que éramos capaces de otorgar.

La soledad no tiene clases sociales, esferas de poder, niveles de instrucción ni color de piel. La soledad del muchacho rico al que sus padres no le conceden tiempo de fraternización filial no es distinta que la del muchacho lleno de esperanzas sin medios para convertir en realidad sus sueños.  Ni es distinta la soledad del profesional al que todos envidian y con nadie puede compartir sus dichas que la del mendigo que vaga en las calles en busca de un mendrugo de pan. La soledad es blanca cuando ocupamos el vacio en nuestras almas leyendo un buen libro que nos lleve de viaje a mundos ignotos y negra cuando la cúspide parece un buen lugar para saltar al abismo y dar fin a la desdicha.

No existen recetas para curar la soledad pero si actitudes que pueden palearla. Si buscas una clave tendría que decir que veas cada día en el espejo de tu alma, que nunca olvides quien eres en verdad para que la adulación no pueda viciar tu esencia. Si tu sabes bien quién eres lo que dicen los demás, sea malo o bueno lo que dicen, no puede torcer tu alma. Sonríe siempre, la sonrisa es la llave que abre las puertas de las almas de todos los presentes. Sea que eres el triunfador o el necesitado todos brindan mayor atención a quien no escatima su afectividad a nadie. Escucha los razonamientos de los otros desde afuera sin convertir en algo personal sus quejas. Concédete a ti mismo el derecho a la perfectibilidad. No es pecado ser un simple mortal,  admite tus faltas con humildad y aprende de tus errores la lección que ellos te aporten.

Nunca hagas mofa de los que te aman ni de los que parecen actuar servilmente o perderás tanto el amor como la compañía. Ni tampoco tuerzas tus principios para complacer a otros por no quedarte solo, otros vendrán que valoren tu esencia y respeten tus ideas.

Por sobre todas las cosas del mundo se humano, la humanidad es la mejor cualidad del hombre. Siente con los que sufren, valora la cólera de los que protestan y si esta en tus manos haz algo al respecto. Vibra con los que aman, no te quedes ahí parado viendo el espectáculo de la vida transcurrir frente a tus ojos.

Lo opuesto a la soledad es la dicha y esta no se encuentra en otro lugar que dentro de nuestra propia alma, es ahí donde debes cultivarla. No debe depender de la compañía ni de las circunstancias sino de quien tu eres y como te sientes contigo mismo. Si quieres el respeto de otros respétate tu, si buscas amor quiérete tu primero, si quieres ser valorado concédete tu el lugar que mereces. Esta son las tres bases de la felicidad y ella comienza y termina dentro de nosotros mismos. No esperes de los demás lo que tú mismo no te concedes.
