Letter From Beyond Life

A Yugoslav soldier being about to died wrote this letter to his son who was still unborn.
"Dear son still slept in darkness yet gathering strength for the struggle to be born. I wish you luck ... when it comes your time and your mother’s, whom I love dearly, something deep inside of you will give you courage to fight to come out to air and to light. This is your essence, this is your destination of creature born out of woman: to strive towards light and cling to life, without knowing why.
Keep your love for life but discard your fear for death. Man must love life otherwise will waste it, but should never love it too much.
Keep your heart thirsty of new knowledge, your aversion to lie and your ability to get indignant.
I have found I’ll die before you born to stand on your feet over the trash I made with my mistakes. I beg you to forgive me for that. I feel ashamed to leave you a messy and uncomfortable world, but it has to be this way.
In my thoughts, as a last blessing, I kiss your forehead. Wish you good night and good morning and a clear dawn”. (Published by Hamish Hamilton)
Every time I met a person whose because of a terminal illness was about to die, this was very worried for his children’s future, wondering who would love them as much as he did, who would take care of them, what kind of values would they live by.
Dear reader, today I wanted to tell you what I said to my son in the journal I wrote for him in case life prevent us from meeting and invite you to tell me what you would tell yours, what no one else that you would tell him, to attach it to this post with your name.
“... It is important to keep your fellowship with God. He is the best friend you’ll have in this life, live in such a way that your heart always be close to his heart. Tell Him your joys and your sorrows too. He doesn’t need any fancy words, just pour out your heart and He will comfort you.
Be truthful, truth is the key to open every door. Honor, respect, trust, is all based on veracity but do not think being truthful is proclaiming all of your facts. Everyone has the right to privacy. Just don’t neglect truth pretending to be something that is not in your essence.
Live with dignity, get all your triumphs honestly and go forward in life using your own self-respect as a shield against the traps life will put you in. From the love that I profess I beg you to be temperate for temperance will aloud you to be guided by heaven to walk on flat trails and make you cross through peaceful waters when in storms and on terra firma you’ll be able to plant a good seed to be presented to God with praises.
If you keep never going beyond God’s word neither will your kin and you’ll see them get forged in the furnace of life with the same force as you forged yourself. Evil dwells inside souls as a genetic defect and is transmitted from generation to generation but also does integrity so if you expect to raise a good seed just need to live with dignity.
May God bless you every day of your life helping you use each of the gifts He granted you with to become a great, pure and noble soul to leave a trail of love in the hearts of those you get to know in this life.
I want to see you cross full of light but if fail, if you get lost, do not fear. I'll be right on the veil when you pass from this world to give you all the kisses I couldn’t give you hear and be your companion wherever you must go for you are the only heaven I’d always had dreamed of. (Mom)

Carta De Otro Mundo

(Mama)

Do We Live The Live We Want? 2nd Part

Yes, inertia or life, it should be you who makes your choice because inertia kept in life is not always synonymous with failure and not always means misery. Inertia is a trap of life that sometimes catches us with lace loops whose caress we enjoy and others is a torturer yoke that hurts us. From misery is easy to escape because no one wants to be miserable and no one wants to live in failure so we keep trying to go upstream and dare to do what’s unexpected but delicate bonds of inertia have many faces and almost all of them get buried into our hearts in a way that is difficult to escape them.
It's easy to forget that we don’t have the kind of job we really wanted when we perceive such a high income that allows us luxuries not previously had, it is easy to stay in a bad relationship when it brings social relevance that pleases us, adulation can turn a leader into a tyrant as well as puppet of sock kissers because it is easy to succumb to blandishment and forget that we are not what they say but that high wage may in turn lead us to enjoy our work and decide what we wanted for a living is just a hobby and enjoyment of being part of the cream can lead to fall in love with the person we share life when we are both doing our best for the relationship to work. That’s why I said that "then everything else comes to make sense" life imposes changes that may be beneficial or not, it depends on how we assume the result of course of our own lives.
Back in my teens I was told at a youth conference that wedded bliss does not really lay in falling head over heels for someone else but in choosing the right person and there was no way not to fall in love with someone who is doing his best to help me achieve my goals and make me happy. I thought it was a very cold way of looking at life and definitely a marriage that is not reached by love was doomed to fail but life made me see things from another point of view. I have met over the years many people who have successful relationships precisely because they chose the right person without being madly in love and living together wore them to love each other deeply. Maybe you’ll say that we can consider this as inertia and it’s true, perhaps that calm in their lives doesn’t mean love has emerged but a large detachment due to absence of love but, misery and happiness are easy perceived in the eyes of those who have and they look happy to be with each other.
Knowing if your life is immersed in inertia is very easy, if you're not satisfied with the life you lead, if you do not enjoy your own everyday that's a sign that you're just getting carried away by river instead of swimming. Unfortunately life is a round trip of no return. There is no possibility of turning back and try again but we can analyze what we have and make changes that will lead to enjoyment and success in life. Retaking projects we left behind, end stages of life still unfinished, close cycles, start new projects, devote more time to our partner, promoting changes in our relationship to increase our affection. There are those who dare to attempt a complete break of their own schemes and start from point zero but that zero never is at the same point where the course of our lives changed without us noticing that change was final in our lives but on ruins of the life which have lived until that moment and that kind of breakup is not always possible. There are parts of our lives that we cannot delete, walls we will never be able to abate. Whatever you decide to do should be product of deep thought. Not everything in your life is wrong; sometimes what is not right is our attitude. We have then to find reason for our dissatisfaction and initiate changes within ourselves without foist on others the responsibility for our actions. A great deal of human misery lies in our habit of blaming others for the results of our own lives and when we accept our own facts as ours we stop feeling miserable.
My sister told me once, “Live in such a way that will never be ashamed of what you do and say, even if what they say is not true” today I'm telling you the same, Take the responsibility of your own Lives!
Give your life the color you like without worrying about what others expect.

Inercia O Vida

Do We Live The Life We Want? 1rst Part.

How much of what we do in our lives is really what we want to do and how much is just inertia? We are born full of dreams and hopes. There is much we like in this world and much of it we want to accomplish. In our early years of life we appreciate beauty of grass’ flower, exoticism of a garden’s snail, melody produced by a pileup lying on our back yard, gentle caress of rain wetting our body. Life is beautiful, so beautiful that allows us to see beyond everything else.
Everything else is life itself; we overcome abuse by telling ourselves that once we grow up everything will be better and life will be beautiful. Little failures are just attempts to what we will achieve later. We see ourselves from our great hopes of the future we dream of but at some point in life in the midst of broken dreams and dashed hopes our outlook on life changes, what we found wonderful becomes only banalities and everything else begins to make sense, becomes what we hope to achieve. We find souls often have a price, economic power surpasses talent and skill, a prestigious name opens doors closed for those enjoying such skill that should enter but have no keys to get in. This is where life begins, when we have to pick up the shattered pieces of our broken dreams and adapt to the life we have to live.
Maybe you’ll ask: Should I then accept my fate? Definitely, I do NOT believe in fate, there is no written book in which were scheduled cheerfulness and failures that will make us a toy of our own life. There is some kind of experience we need to live to reach our full potential, and experiences we need to have to improve our souls but not everything in life is fate. There really are those who steal our triumphs, there do exist those who destroy our life because they want to. Yes; there are those who enjoy causing harm to the vulnerable. We are not the only responsible ones of what we live and not all of our achievements are only ours either. There really are those who buy the soul we sold to give it back to us as a gift, there do exist those who conspire to build our happiness. Yes; there are those who pick up the pieces of our broken dreams to rearm them and inspire us to try again.
Above all the broth which composes life is every dream we built in our immaculate souls in childhood. We came to this world to achieve a dream, a dream we must build regardless of the failures and suffering. A dream whose achievement can stop for a short time while we recover from fatigue but should never be left back in the past amid the rubble of what was illusion.
We all have our own weaknesses; success is something we can achieve in spite of our vulnerabilities. The key is not to do never fail but daring to get up and move on, wipe the tears and decorate life with a wide smile. Scars of lost struggles are always evident on the body of heroes, they didn’t get there by infallible; reached because they kept on trying with the same zeal after all their dreams rolled on the ground and they were the only ones who still believed in the hopefulness of their destination. Those left behind are left because they allow obliterate in their life, allow fear to face their problems barter them the effort into inertia and thereafter only let themselves go with the current wherever the river goes without daring to dream again.
Inertia or life, make up your choice!

Quizás me preguntes: ¿Debo entonces aceptar mi destino?

Is beauty Synonymous With Perfection?

We have launched in search of perfect beauty for long, we have paid huge amounts of money to plastic surgeons and experts in the acquisition of the desired beauty to try to become the most desirable man or woman. Gone are the days when we admired those who had the grace of having born beautiful and wondered why it didn’t happen to us. Today we just have to buy it in the beauty market.
Contrary to expectations, the result of surgery to change our face is often worse than our natural look, especially when the change made is not what the expert we turn to recommended as the best we could have but a much more radical. Botox injections and implants can take off all the expressiveness of our face along with our wrinkles turning a nice smile into a grimace of disgust. Mismanaged, collagen can break skin cells destroying it forever.
I don’t mean by this that we don’t have all the right to enhance our own appearance if we want or need but the choice of the professional to turn to must be accompanied by an attitude of deference to the advice we receive from him about the changes we hope to make and even when we are in our right to try to preserve our youthful appearance I think it is important to understand certain facts:
1. There is no beauty in perfection. The pursuit of absolute symmetry can completely damage what made us attractive. If we take our time to carefully observe those people who have been tagged as sex symbol we will see that are not so attractive and perfect as we thought. Each face has features that make it attractive in some way, that’s why we always say there are not ugly but people who do not care about their appearance.
2. Clothes we wear, haircut and hairstyle chosen according to our age, body shape and features is the entire complement we need to look attractive. Fashion is now flexible enough to aloud us to find easily good and nice clothes for all ages. An old woman dressed like a teenager will not look attractive just because she is on shape neither will look good for a man who has lost half of his hair to wear a ponytail; Regardless of our preferences, age imposes changes in our style that we should abide.
3. A well preserved skin and maintaining proper weight give more attractiveness than trying to look like children when we are no longer young. It is common to find people who believe that remain thin is ideal when in fact the professionals in the field say that an overweight of about three kilograms per decade over the thirties for women and four to five for men help preserve a youthful appearance when we are becoming old.
4. Makeup should also suit our age, an old woman with her face completely covered with eye shadows, blush and deep color lipsticks may seem anything but a beautiful lady.
Finally, we must be clear that beauty is the set of the external along with the internal human sides. Cheerfulness, a good attitude in all circumstances makes more that costumes and diets. Nurture our soul through introspection and development of habits that will improve our own essence, work on the development of virtues that elevate us spiritually also beautifies us physically.
Generally, who searches beauty is also looking for the establishment of a good relationship. Paradoxically the ones who keep the more lasting and happy relationships are not the most attractive but the most capable souls to accept and tolerate the failures of their partners, those who love you as you are rather than searching in you the qualities you do not possess.
keep always in mind that every ugly duckling carries inside a beautiful swan waiting to be discovered but must be you yourself who find him not your friends or partner. It is something you should do for your own satisfaction, not to please others or will lose it as soon as these people no longer show interest in you.
We only keep on being forever what we became to satisfy ourselves.

Do You Think It Is A Pecad To Delay Things In Our Life?

Have you ever heard anyone say No one knows what he has until he loses it? Procrastination could be considered as sin of omission. If you think about it there is no great difference between not doing and delay in doing. Let me clarify my point of view through your own memory. Remember when you were a kid and you were ordered to do something while you were playing? Surely your answer was “yes mama” and when, after much prodding your mother; tired of waiting demanded you to do it yet you said again “yeah”. Off course she angrily asked “when are you going to do it?” And your answer was “in a while” All children practice passive resistance, they never refuse to obey but will do it whenever it pleases them and this will generally be too late, when they receive a punishment along with doing the work they had put off.

This is the great danger posed procrastination. We will stop intaking what is harmful to our health; whenever we become so old that it will seem right to deprive us of its delicious taste. We will begin ingesting vitamins and other medicines we need; whenever they become part of our diet at our elderly days. We will apologize for what we did; one of these days; whenever we no longer feel ashamed to admit it. We will show love to our family; someday; whenever we have time to socialize with them. The fact is that life is too short and death reaches us before we take the time to do all the things we know we need to do.
After my mother died spent long months depressed remembering all the times I didn’t visit her on vacation because I could use that time to resolve other issues since I was going to visit her on Christmas anyway. Could not travel twice a year and even though vacation was longer I had chosen to spend Christmas with her. I asked myself many times why didn’t I postpone these issues rather than visits to my mother. Although rushed home each time they called me because she was seriously ill I blamed myself for not saving her life as she had done to me in my childhood. At school my teachers expected me to study medicine, but I chose design; I blamed me for that too.
I had already passed depression when one day while teaching the daily juvenile doctrine class received a call from my leader to let me know an old woman from another ward who had just died in a hospital near our chapel would be brought right away and I would have to prepare her for burial. Tried to avoid responsibility by saying that it should be done by her own president but he said I was the president there and it was therefore my responsibility. We had already finished cleaning and dressing when her son entered the room and escaped again from the place without even looking. I found him sitting in the sacramental room, head down and on the verge of tears. I read a scripture that says we can mourn our dead and grieve because we have lost the great pleasure of their company in this life and then said “go see your mother and kiss her as much as you want because after the burial you’ll wish to have the chance to give one last kiss but there will not be a body you can embrace for the last time”.
We feel that same sorrowful feeling when we leave this world and behold the ones we loved but forgot to kiss and hug often because we were busy or tired. It hurts to know that there are some who do not love us as much as we want to be loved because we opened wounds in their souls and were not able to close them apologizing when we should. It hurts to find that we couldn’t become what we expected from ourselves because we kept in procrastinating it on behalf of activities we could have elude. It is true that life is short but time well spent let us reach more that what we do.
A good practice of life that allow us to leave this world in peace is this advice I received from a bishop as a teenager:
Do not bring to work or school your personal affairs. You are paid to work and pay for study, Do so.
Do not bring work problems to your house. Home is for family enjoyment and also to resolve family issues.
Do not bring family problems to your bedroom. Bed is for rest and also to enjoy your sexuality with your partner.
Take every vacation you get in the rest of your life. A tired mind does not function at its maximum potential.
Use your time wisely and you will reach what you hope to achieve in this world, even full happiness.

Why Should We Go In Search Of Knowledge?

Apostasy is a word we use a lot when regularly attend a Christian church but not always employ properly. Apostate is one who abandons the principles that promised to hold to go after other gods or personal benefit making use of priest craft which is nothing other than the misrepresentation of the doctrine to fit his convenience deviating from the path of God the members of the church through his bad teaching and bad example. Apostate also makes use of defamation to remove the credibility enjoyed from anyone who might prevent him from reaching his evil purposes.

Instruction manuals for teachers of doctrine say that we must teach from the manual and by the manual and if we disagree with what the manual says we should limit ourselves to what it says because it is pure doctrine what must we teach. Our opinion does not count. However, we often find people that using arguments such as -"church has no official position on this"- have managed to get many people do what they are expected not to do. Young people are usually the easiest target of teachings like this.
I've seen a growing number of divorced men taking their children away from their own mothers to live with them when remarry with the excuse that they are the patriarch and their kids will be theirs in eternity when in fact what they want is not to pay his ex-wife alimony stipulated by law which usually is not even enough to cover the expenses of the child. How egoistic heart that fears to pay a crust of bread to feed the woman who gave him the best years of her life and what wicked one who deceive others to commit the same act of selfishness.
Likewise I've seen a growing number of people ingesting substances that are not supposed to ingest because they have been told that -“church has no official position on that”- and are in an even greater number that the ones who have replaced their vices by a placebo instead of abandoning them because they were suggested to do this and I have also seen men allowing their wives pervert in different ways because this men say -“her husband will collect her beyond the veil and he determines how it should be his wife”- Of course, self-will play an important role in all this. I've said all along that they "have been suggested to” or "had been taught to "They have used their willingness to allow others to divert them from their own course. While the example of their leaders and other members is what has diverted them to follow them was their decision. Isn’t it said in the scriptures that there are those that like ravenous wolves graze with the sheep of the Lord, why weren’t they alert?
Having an individual and personal study of the scriptures is the key and the solution to all this. Who knows doctrine cannot be deviated from his principles by false teachings. Who wants to know the truth about what has been taught when the instruction and example received from others have filled with doubts his heart only needs to study his doctrine books. No canonical book say it will be the father or husband who make the gathering beyond the veil, much less a wicked woman could be freed from her punishment by her husband.
Study of scriptures should never be limited to the few texts used in classes at church. Full text comprehension is reached when reading the whole book and not just excerpts from it. It is there in the scriptures where is all the truth that man must learn to return to God's presence. Among the advice of others and the truth contained in the scriptures is the desire or will of man that allows us to do as it pleases us but never forget that God gave man free will to make us feel pleased to do always choose to do what’s right.
Knowledge fills with light the dark alleys of our minds and once lit error no longer fit in them.

Change Your Thoughts And Your Whole Life Will Change Too

Man has been intrigued by the way human brains work for centuries, wanted to know what, mind’s labyrinths conceal that lead one to act in a certain way and others in a completely different way. What makes some be good and some be evil, some live formal and other live completely crazy?
Of course, much of human behavior is acquired from the environment in our early years. We acquired from our family and our personal heroes habits and manners and even certain predisposition to obedience and disobedience but not everything in our lives can be blamed on others. Child admiration and childhood traumas are not the cause of all our doings. As the thinking beings that we are the learning we get change our life circumstances and behavior according to our own convenience. The same circumstances that lead a man to kill lead another to strive for justice and peace.
Human thought is the key to all of our actions, everything that makes us winners or losers was first an idea kept inside our minds and an idea we decided to bring to reality, to make it true. Before reaching suicide the dead spent long time depressed thinking about the best way to end his life. Before betraying his partner the adulterous step long basking in his mind how dissatisfied he feels at home and what unhappy he is with his partner. Before committing the crime the scammer took a long time to think how stupid his boss is and how easy it would be to flout. Before reaching the top step achiever spent long time dreaming of success, toying with the idea of becoming the best in his career. Because everything that we become depends on what we think we can change the circumstances in our life by changing the course of our thoughts.
If you think I'm crazy why don’t just try it?
When the sinner turns to his spiritual leader for help his leader generally tries to help him resolve his problem, has been trained to do it. Human soul is his specialty and since sin requires time to occur he will want to fill the sinner’s life with activities to keep him from having idle time to waste on shameful thoughts and inspiring music to take him to think only on worthy activities.
A good way to clear our mind of bad thoughts is to develop an activity or hobby that requires so much of our attention that won’t leave us time to think. Such as knit, painting, music, math, sports, etc.  Anything that requires us to keep our attention on what we do.
The kind of music we hear has a lot to do with our conduct, loud music activates nerve waves in our brains that predispose us to violence so that will probably end up fighting with the other drivers in the middle of traffic but ideally change if we use it to keep focus when we are doing physical exercise and try to surpass others. Relaxing music instead is ideal to stressful circumstances like traffic but terrible if we use it to reach the goal before others. And when it comes to abolishing thought I'd say it's best to hear a song whose words we understand, I do not refer here to the language but to the tempo and loudness of the words used because if we can repeat the words and learn the song that will fill the gaps where our shameful thoughts might seep.
Regarding sexuality there is an infallible rule. “When in circumstances that could bring you to the field of sexuality, discuss doctrine. Nobody thinks about sex while speaking about God” and if that sexuality is private and alone hear sacred music and stay away from lonely places.
Correct the course of your thoughts and the course of your life will completely change. You are the guardian of your own dreams and the leader who guide your destiny. Choose your course carefully!

¡Tal Cual Su Pensamiento Es Asi Es Su Corazon!
