Osho's Teaching Vs Religion

Based on The Book of The Secret of Secrets, volume 1, by Osho.

Maybe someone could think I am arrogant pretending to analyze Osho’s teachings so I will introduce myself first. I was born in a traditional Jew family and as the Jew I was Pentateuch was the first book I read, the one I used to learn how to read. When I was 7 years old my family and I converted to christianism and since then bible became and still is my favorite book. It is as poetic and epic as it is chronological and historical and above all it contains my own history. Christianism is a single belief with very many ways of practice. At the church we chose members begin learning doctrine at the age of 3 to 28 years old as regular study and the whole life time through the courses we take on Sundays and if we go the church’s university we study theology along the career we choose. We also begin teaching doctrine when we are teenagers.

Yet we are instruct not to learn anything which is proscribed by God I must confess I have read everything I could, even magic books and  although I will not recommend anyone to do as I did because it is truth we can get lost by doing it. I learned a lot in that solitary pursuit of truth, some of the parts of doctrine which had no explanation in doctrine books were clarify to me in books I shouldn’t had read.

I warn you that I was not in the danger you would be if copying what I did for I have a childhood trauma which keeps me protected from feeling attracted to any kind of practice against doctrine. I would never do anything which involves the use of blood, urine, saliva, semen, feces, frogs, nor anything that kind of practice serves to do their rites. I suffered tuberculosis in childhood and grew up in a completely sterile area and nobody would touch me without gloves and masks. My mind kept that as –do not touch any dirty thing and do not let any one touch you-

It may seem ambiguous although I avoid making friends among the practitioners of evil for I don’t want to put myself in risk of being attracted to sin, I do not think I have to hate nor to reject anyone for what they believe. I believe everyone has the right to worship when, how or what they want so I respect their beliefs and demand for me the same respect and I need to clarify that I do not call practitioner of evil to every pagan. I have cleared that there are nations where that is their culture and their belief. What I call a practitioner of evil is the one who uses pagan rites to destroy other people for envy, the one who takes advantage of those he compites with trough this kind of practice and whe I do, I do it because as I said I had read a lot of pagan books and I had found in them as axample prayers and rites to become young and beautiful without hurting anyone. Then even a pagan has to admit if one hurts another people in pursuit of youth or beauty it wil be because that person is bad. 

I am open mind about reading dogma not learning. I read it only to know what they believe. I compare it to my beliefs just to see the difference not in search of who is right. One of the truths found this way is this: Christians are always told that children are not attacked by evil spirits because they are pure and founded in this fact when you say you have that kind of problem priest will always try to find out how you got to that point but the reality is that pure souls are in greater risk of being damage than the not so good ones not only because there are rites as the Black Mass in which a pure person is sacrificed to build the protection circle with parts of the body but because what Satan wants is to tie his loyals with the chains of spiritual death and What better way than hurting the faithful of the Lord to make sure repenting will serve nothing to them.

I am very critical with what I read, sometimes even to result. Once, my son brought home a book got as gift, named Satan and asked me to read it first for as  I was his doctrine teacher he wanted me to explain what could confuse him. I wrote explanatory notes which I put into the book and return it so full of them that he said -mom you didn’t need to write a new book.

I had been listening to the discourses Osho gave to explain his books. I had also been comparing his teachings to what religions teach. Anyone who has study some theology knows paganism and christianism have a common root. Scriptures are that root and therefore the principles Osho teaches in The Secret are common to every culture. Yet every dogma is different from the others, as he said, scriptures were written to every nation, they don’t belong to any culture nor to any dogma and Religions have always coexisted. They are a live prove of where men agree or disagree when reading scriptures.

He said Scriptures are to those whom do not understand as a lantern to a blind man. They are useless.

We agree in this as the reason why we have so many religions, as the blind man walks in complete darkness carrying a lighted lantern in his hand. The ones whom do not understand pick out of scriptures whatever they think they found, create a dogma, a church to teach to others what they do not even know. Scriptures contain a single belief which men have given so many ways of practice.

He said Most people go to church as if it was a club where they get friends to spend their time in anything else than praising God or they just go because they feel obligated to. They forget honesty is basic to faith and if we go to church we must do it for the right reasons or just don’t do it.

I am a witness of it. People do go to church but they do not get into the mood of really being there. When I was a teenager seminary students would seat on the second line and took notes on the discourses we heard to discuss them in class. One Sunday my classmates were very lousy and a man sat on the third line gave a note to one of them. The note passed from hand to hand and boys became quiet by reading it.  That note was the discourse my classmate discussed in class later. It said: Today I came to church to listen to God, to feel his Spirit deep inside my soul. 

We agree again in the need of practicing belief in a free desire. Not obligating anyone to do as they do not want but gospel is a law we must keep. He sees it as a creation of blame to let us teach repentance. There we disagree; we teach good principles and let our ones rule their own lives, when they lose path we have repentance to help them recover themselves so they can be justify. Being justify with God means we are not perfect but had repentant from the sins we made and kept an eye in our own behavior to keep God's pardon within our souls.

He said faith is not something we can give to our children by force, nor by repressing. All we can do is teach good principles and let them lead their own lives. Give them love and freedom and teach them to question all which is been taught as truth. This kind of freedom usually guides us to obedience.

We also agree when he says religion is an inner experience and we add that experience is only for those who are prepared to live gospel and since scriptures were written to those who are prepared, the ones who are not prepared do not understand them. Accepting gospel in our life brings us to pact with God and breaking the pact means the loss of eternity, therefore not understanding is somehow a way to protect men from losing themselves.

He said Meditation is synonymous to the contemplation of God which to him means a stage of being conscious but without thinking and it is a door into divine. It is an inner experience of carrying God inside of our own souls. Feel His power inside of us means being part of the creation itself and being aware of it. Our souls remain in complete darkness until we become aware of God’s presence inside of us

Contemplation must be then the highest level we can get to by meditation, the moment when third eye is finally open and our way of thinking and seeing life changes and never goes back to what it was before.

Contemplation would be then synonymous to enlighten and would necessary be the rightist way of living. To see God not with normal eyes but in every event of our lives and remaining this way for the rest of our lives has to be the goal we pretend to reach.

We meditate in scriptures so we agree again in his statement that meditation is a door to divinity and also in the need of keeping studding and learning for the rest of our lives. We believe the glory of God is the knowledge He has and if we keep learning will become like Him, will become gods. Off course we will not reach Him because He is also learning and will be far away when we get to where he is. That's what we call minor gods or ministrant angels, gods below the highest God working to His command but what we call meditation is analyzing in our minds not relaxing to feel God.

The meditation we do here in the Occident of world is what he calls unconscious meditation, only the ones whom take courses with people like Osho practice a different kind of it and that is a phenomenon we call New Age. People interested in personal grown, vegan food, meditation, etc. It is not an approximation to oriental believes’, it is just a snob way of living, they mix everything, take what they want from every belief and at last they do not practice any. They are just trying to have an exotic life. 

I must warn Christians about the danger this practice generates as this is the rite Eastern Pagan Religions use to rise up, fly and transported, It is Not A Game!, will not make you exotic but will take you away from your God because you will end up confused between what you are doing and learning and the rite you are suppose to live in.

The God Osho worships is not ours, when he speaks of feeling God within he is literal, refers to live life dominated by the spirit and that is not the Holy Spirit. The enlighten he speaks of is what we call to subordinate to Satan's plan, being guided by spirits in every act of his life or in other words voluntary possession.

He said if we accept ourselves as we are we will get nowhere. There we agree again. Men must look forward to perfecting ourselves,  that is the goal. It may seem hard to reach but comes easy if we planned it step by step going from the easier to get rid of to the hardest. It is a job to be done in a whole lifetime.

No faltara quien piense que soy arrogante al pretender analizar las enseñanzas de Osho así que voy a presentarme primero. Nací en una familia tradicional judia y como la judía  que fui el Pentateuco fue el primer libro que leí, el que usé para aprender a leer. Cuando tenía 7 años de edad mi familia y yo nos convertimos al cristianismo y desde entonces la biblia vino a ser y es aun mi libro favorito. Es tan poético y épico, como cronológico e histórico y sobre todo contiene mi propia historia. El cristianismo es una sola creencia con muchas formas de practicarla. En la iglesia que elegimos los miembros empiezan a aprender doctrina a los 3 hasta 28 años de edad como estudio regular y a lo largo de toda la vida a traves de los cursos que tomamos los domingos y si vamos a la universidad de la iglesia estudiamos teología a la par de la carrera elegida. También comenzamos a enseñar doctrina desde adolescentes.

Aun cuando, se nos insta a no aprender nada que sea proscrito por Dios, debo confesar que he leído todo lo que pude, hasta libros de magia y aunque no le recomiendo a nadie a hacer lo que hice, porque es verdad que se puede perder por hacerlo. He aprendido mucho en esa búsqueda solitaria de la verdad, algunas de las partes de la doctrina que no tenían explicación en los libros de doctrina se hicieron claras para mí en los libros que leí.

Le advierto que yo no estaba en el peligro en que estaría Ud. si imita lo que hice porque tengo un trauma de infancia que me impide sentirme atraída por cualquier tipo de práctica en contra de la doctrina. Yo nunca haría nada que implique el uso de sangre, orina, saliva, semen, heces, sapos, ni cosa alguna de la que el paganismo se sirve para realizar sus ritos pues dado que padecí una tuberculosis infantil y se me crio en un ambiente completamente estéril y nadie me tocaba sin guantes y tapabocas a mi todo me produce asco, incluso que me toquen.

Aunque parezca ambiguo, yo evito hacer amigos entre los practicantes del mal porque no quiero arriesgarme a sentir atracción por el pecado, pero no creo que tenga que odiar ni rechazar a nadie por sus creencias. Creo que todos tenemos derecho a adorar como, cuando o lo que deseemos, de manera que respeto sus creencias y exijo para mí el mismo derecho. Necesito ademas aclarar que yo no llamo practicantes del mal a todos los paganos. Hay paises en los que el paganismo es su cultura y su religion, eso esta claro. Lo que yo llamo practicante del mal es aquella persona que utiliza los ritos paganos para causar daño a otros por envidia. El que saca ventaja a su adversario mediante esa clase de ritos y cuando los llamo asi lo hago porque como he dicho he leido muchos libros paganos y he encontrado en ellos, por ejemplo; ritos y oraciones para rejuvenecerse y embellecerse de manera que incluso los paganos tendran que admitir que si alguien causa daño a otros en busca de juventud y belleza lo hace porque es malo no porque necesita dañar a alguien. 

Mi mente está abierta en cuanto a la lectura del dogma, no su aprendizaje. Lo he leído solo para saber que creen ellos, lo he comparado con mis creencias como algo natural, no en busca de quien tiene la razón. Una de las grandes verdades que encontré de esa manera es la siguiente; siempre se nos dice a los cristianos que los niños pequeños no son agredidos por espíritus malignos porque ellos son puros, basados en este hecho, cuando alguien dice tener esta clase de problema los sacerdotes siempre intentan indagar como la persona llego a ese punto, la realidad es que las almas puras corren mayor riesgo de ser dañadas que las no tan buenas no solo porque hay ritos como la Misa Negra en los que se sacrifica a un ser puro para construir el circulo de protección con las partes de su cuerpo sino porque lo que Satanás desea es atar a sus fieles con las cadenas de la muerte espiritual  y ¿qué mejor manera de hacerlo que dañando a los fieles del Señor para garantizarse que el arrepentimiento no les sirva de nada?

Soy muy crítica con lo que leo, a veces hasta redundar. En una ocasión mi hijo llevo a casa un libro, que le fue obsequiado, llamado Satanás y me pidió que lo leyera yo primero porque como era su maestra de doctrina quería que le explicara aquello que podía confundirlo. Escribí notas explicatorias que puse dentro del libro y se lo devolví tan lleno de ellas que dijo -mamá no tenías necesidad de escribir un nuevo libro-

He oído los discursos de Osho  en los que explica su libro “The Secret Of Secrets” y comparado sus enseñanzas con lo que el cristianismo enseña. Cualquier persona que tenga un poco de conocimiento teológico sabe que el paganismo y el cristianismo tienen una raíz común. Esa raíz son las escrituras y por lo tanto los principios que Osho enseña en sus libros son comunes a todas las culturas. Sin embargo, cada dogma es diferente de los otros, como él dijo, las Escrituras fueron escritas para todas las naciones, no pertenecen a ninguna cultura ni a ningún dogma y las religiones siempre han coexistido. Ellas son una prueba viviente  de aquello en lo que los hombres están de acuerdo o en desacuerdo al leer las Escrituras.

El dijo: Las escrituras son a los que no entienden lo que una linterna a un ciego. Son inútiles.

Concordamos en esto como la razón por la que tenemos tantas religiones. Así como el ciego anda en completa oscuridad con una linterna encendida en la mano. Los que no entienden las escrituras toman de ellas lo que creen haber encontrado y crean un dogma, una iglesia para enseñar a los demás lo que ellos mismos desconocen. Las escrituras contienen una sola creencia a la que los hombres han dado muchas formas de práctica.

El dijo: la mayoría de la gente va a la iglesia como si fuera un club donde conseguir amigos para pasar su tiempo en otra cosa distinta que alabar a Dios o simplemente van porque se sienten obligados a ello. Se olvidan que la honestidad es fundamental para la fe y si vamos a la iglesia tenemos que hacerlo por las razones correctas o simplemente no ir.

Yo soy testigo de ello. La gente va a la iglesia pero no entra en el estado de ánimo de estar allí realmente. Cuando yo era adolescente los seminaristas nos sentábamos en la segunda fila y tomábamos nota de los discursos que escuchábamos para hablar de ellos en clase. Un domingo mis compañeros estaban haciendo mucho ruido y un hombre sentado en la tercera fila le dio una nota a uno de ellos. La nota pasó de mano en mano y los chicos hicieron silencio al leerla. Esa nota fue el discurso que mi compañero discutió en clase después. Decía: “Hoy me vine a la iglesia a escuchar a Dios, sentir profundamente su espíritu”.

Coincidimos de nuevo en la necesidad de practicar nuestras creencias por libre voluntad. No obligando a nadie a hacer lo que no desea pero el evangelio es una ley que debemos respetar. Él lo ve como la creación de la culpa para que podamos enseñar el arrepentimiento. No estamos de acuerdo en eso, nosotros enseñamos buenos principios y dejamos que los nuestros gobiernen sus propias vidas; tenemos el arrepentimiento para ayudarles a recuperarse cuando pierden el camino, es la herramienta mediante la cual el hombre se justifica con Dios. Vivir justificado con Dios significa que no somos perfectos, pero nos hemos arrepentido de los pecados que cometimos y mantenemos controlada nuestra propia conducta para conservar el perdón de Dios en nuestras almas.

Él dijo: la fe no es algo que podemos dar a nuestros hijos por la fuerza, ni con la represión. Lo único que podemos hacer es enseñarles buenos principios y dejarlos vivir sus propias vidas. Darles amor y libertad y, enseñarles a cuestionar todo lo que se ha enseñado como verdad. Esta clase de libertad por lo general nos guía a la obediencia.

También estamos de acuerdo cuando dice que la religión es una experiencia que se da en el interior de la persona y añadimos que la experiencia es sólo para aquellos que están preparados para vivir evangelio y dado que las escrituras fueron escritas para aquellos que están preparados, los que no lo están no las entienden. La aceptación del Evangelio en nuestra vida nos lleva a pactar con Dios y la ruptura del pacto implica la pérdida de la eternidad, por lo que no entender es de alguna manera una forma de proteger al hombre de la posibilidad de perderse a sí mismo.

Dijo: la meditación es similar a la contemplación de Dios, es un estado de conciencia, sin el ejercicio del pensamiento, y es una puerta hacia lo divino. Se trata de la experiencia de llevar a Dios dentro de nuestras propias almas. Sentir su poder dentro de nosotros significa ser parte de la creación misma y ser consciente de ello. Nuestras almas permanecen en completa oscuridad hasta que concientizamos la presencia de Dios dentro de nosotros.

La contemplación debe ser entonces el nivel más alto que se puede alcanzar a través de la meditación, el momento en que el tercer ojo finalmente se abre y nuestra forma de pensar y de ver la vida cambia y nunca vuelve a ser como antes.

La contemplación es entonces sinónimo de iluminación y debe ser por tanto la mejor manera de vivir. Ver a Dios no con nuestros ojos sino en todos los eventos nuestra vida y permanecer así durante el resto de nuestras vidas tiene que ser el objetivo que pretendemos alcanzar.

Nuestro concepto de meditación está muy lejos de eso. Nosotros meditamos en las escrituras, es decir las analizamos en nuestra mente, así que podemos concordar en su afirmación de que la meditación es una puerta a la divinidad, y también en la necesidad de mantener esa conducta y aprendizaje por el resto de nuestras vidas. Creemos que la gloria de Dios es el conocimiento que tiene y si estudiamos continuamente podemos llegar a ser como Él, convertirnos en dioses. Por supuesto no vamos a alcanzarlo, porque Él también aprende continuamente y estará lejos cuando lleguemos a donde El está. Eso es lo que llamamos dioses menores o ángeles ministrantes. Dioses que se subordinan a la autoridad del más alto Dios.

Lo más cerca que llegamos a estar de la meditación que se practica en Asia aquí en Occidente es lo que él llama meditación inconsciente, sólo aquellos que toman cursos con gente como Osho practican un tipo de meditación diferente; son los partidarios del fenómeno que llamamos New Age: personas interesadas en crecimiento personal, comida vegetariana, meditación, etc. No es una aproximación a la creencia oriental, es sólo una manera extravagante de vivir, mezclan todo, toman lo que quieren de cada creencia y al final no son parte de ninguna. Solo están buscando vivir exóticamente.

Debo advertir a los cristianos sobre los peligros que esta práctica engendra, ya que este es el rito que las religiones pagano-orientales utilizan para levantar, volar y transportarse, ¡No Es Un Juego!, No les hará exóticos, pero les alejara del verdadero Dios porque terminaran confundidos en medio de lo que estan haciendo y aprendiendo y, del rito que deberia ser intrinseco en sus vidas.

El Dios al que Osho adora no es el nuestro, cuando el habla de sentir a dios dentro de sí es literal, se refiere a vivir dominado por el espíritu y ese no es el Espíritu Santo. La iluminación de la que el habla es lo que nosotros llamamos subordinarse al plan de Satanás, ser guiado por espíritus en todos los actos de su vida o en otras palabras posesión voluntaria.

Por último el dijo: si nos aceptamos a nosotros mismos tal y como somos no llegaremos a ninguna parte. Estamos de acuerdo en ello. Los hombres debemos buscar el perfeccionamiento de nosotros mismos, esa es la meta, puede parecer difícil de alcanzar, pero viene fácil si se planifica paso a paso yendo desde lo más fácil de eliminar en nuestra conducta hasta lo más difícil de superar. Es un esfuerzo de toda una vida.
